Is it permissible when a person visits the graves to make Du`a' for all the deceased


A: It is Sunnah (action following the teachings of the Prophet) for men only to visit the graves to learn lessons, take admonition, send Salam (Islamic greeting of peace) and make Du`a' for the dead Muslims in general and for their families in particular.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
